PEACE campaigners are this weekend marking the anniversary of the removal of a women's camp outside a US base in Yorkshire.
The protest camp was set up outside Menwith Hill, the US communications centre outside Harrogate.
The camp was originally close to the main gates, but moved after legal action and sprang up on the Harrogate-Skipton road.
The collection of caravans and tents was finally removed, and their occupants evicted, last August.
Regular protests and weekend camps are still held at the base, and the anniversary of the eviction is being marked by protesters with a temporary camp outside the base.
