Feltwell Vigil - report

On Sunday 20th May , 35 people from disarmament and peace groups in Norwich, King's Lynn, Cambridge and Saffron Walden met at 'RAF' Feltwell to hold a vigil, plan future actions and leaflet the area. Our protest was directed at Feltwell, which is a Deep Space/Near Space Tracking station, because we believe it will be part of the American Missile Defense programme - if our Government gives in to US requests for cooperation.

We handed in a letter to the US Commanding Officer (Col. John Brennan) explaining why we are profoundly concerned about the possibility of this programme.

Next Actions at Feltwell:

24th July - (end of the National CND sponsered walk from Sizewell to Feltwell)

13th October - International 'Keep Space for Peace' Day
